Dr. (Prof) Suresh Gupta

Dr. (Prof) Suresh Gupta has spent more than three decades in pediatrics, most of it in the emergency room and intensive care unit, where the sickest children arrive. That background shapes how he practises in the clinic: careful history, a thorough examination, and a plan that parents can actually follow at home.

An alumnus of University College of Medical Sciences and Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, he went on to advanced training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed specialised courses in allergy and asthma. Childhood asthma and allergic disease are now the centre of his clinical work, from allergy testing and lung function assessment to immunotherapy and long term control plans.

At Sir Ganga Ram Hospital he is Program Director of the Pediatric Emergency Fellowship, training the next generation of emergency pediatricians. He serves as President of the Society for Trauma and Emergency Pediatrics and President Elect of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Delhi branch, and contributes to journals, textbooks and conferences in India and abroad.
